TEMECULA ROAD MAKES
GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT

“Maybe Not” acoustic video available now

Nashville, TN — November 4, 2019 — Rising country trio TEMECULA ROAD made their Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, November 1 at the first weekend of the show’s annual winter run of Opry At The Ryman in downtown Nashville. Maddie, Emma, and Dawson, introduced by Connie Smith, brought their unforgettable harmonies to the iconic stage. Performing their latest single “Maybe Not” and a stripped-down acoustic version of the Eagles classic “Desperado,” their debut brought a packed house of family, friends, and fans to their feet for a standing ovation.

“Tonight has been a dream come true,” says Emma. “We feel so very blessed,” says Maddie. “I am speechless, and that doesn’t happen very often. What an amazing night,” adds Dawson.

Emma, Maddie, and Dawson took the Ryman stage fresh off of an overseas tour stint with Scotty McCreery, including sold out stops in Berlin, Cologne, London, and Manchester. Their soulful new track “Maybe Not,” written by the trio’s Dawson Anderson, along with Trannie Anderson and Ian Christian and produced by Andrew DeRoberts (Devin Dawson, Kip Moore, Eli Young Band, Jillian Jacqueline), is their third new release this year, following “Fades” and “Never Knew I Needed You” which hit Top 5 and Top 15 respectively on Radio Disney Country’s Top 50 Chart.

To celebrate their Opry debut, Temecula Road released a stripped version of their “harmony rich tune,” “Maybe Not,” – named a “Song You Need To Hear” by The Boot – via YouTube. Watch HERE.

Called out by The Huffington Post, CMT, Sounds Like Nashville, and Taste of Country as one of the top new country artists to watch and named after the town they grew up in, Temecula Road (comprised of sisters Emma and Maddie Salute, and longtime friend Dawson Anderson) are known for their trademark harmonies and their covers which have earned praise from Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, and Brett Eldredge. With over 13 million streams and counting, these days it’s their original music putting them on the map. Over the past two years, Temecula Road made debut performances at C2C’s Country Music Festival in London, Stagecoach Music Festival and the CMA Music Festival. The band was named one of Radio Disney’s NEXT BIG THING artists and were nominated in the “The Freshest! – Radio Disney Country Best New Artist” category at the Radio Disney Music Awards, putting them in great company alongside Maren Morris, Lauren Alaina and Old Dominion. On the touring side, the trio will join as special guests opening for Sara Evans on her “Sara Evans – Blue Christmas Tour” over the holidays.

Street Art For Mankind dedicates murals today in New Rochelle, N.Y.

New Rochelle, N.Y. – The City of New Rochelle, along with the New Rochelle Council on the Arts revealed spectacular – and huge – murals curated by Street Art for Mankind (SAM) today in a ceremony taking place at Southside Plaza (134 North Avenue, New Rochelle).

The 60-foot tall artistic murals reflect the unique creativity, diversity, and forward-thinking of the New Rochelle community. Two of the murals already done and available for viewing are of New Rochelle born hitmaker Don McLean and New York state Icon Alicia Keys, both are the only music artists honored with murals and were created by Miami-based street artist Loic Ercolessi.

“I am thrilled and honored that New Rochelle has selected me to represent them for artistic creativity,” says Songwriter Hall of Fame member Don McLean. “I love the community, in which, I was raised and return every chance I get.”

During the month of October, prominent street artists from all around the world came to downtown New Rochelle to create the first in a series of eight murals. With their unique artistic talent and sensitivity, they will color NRNY walls to pay a tribute to the history and values that shape this community, creating a flavorful modern-day melting pot.

“The NRNY murals are big, bold, creative and fun. Diverse in style yet complementary, all together they testify of the unique personality of New Rochelle,” commented Audrey and Thibault Decker, cofounders of SAM.

In addition, other themes illustrated will be:
• Artistic Creativity – already announced as McLean and Keys
• Gender Equality (tribute to local suffragettes and the centennial in 2020 of US women’s right to vote
• Harmony between urban life and nature
• New Rochelle’s NYC vibe
• Cultural Diversity that unites New Rochelleans
• Sustainability efforts made by the city
• People Connecting in a world where social media and technology are omnipresent
• Forward Looking NRNY, full of dreams to meet the future.

Themes were put together by SAM in collaboration with the New Rochelle Council of the Arts.

Mayor Noam Bramson said, “New Rochelle is thrilled to work with Street Art for Mankind to further enliven our downtown streetscape. These murals bring beauty and creative energy to previously blank spaces, as part of our comprehensive commitment to a culturally vibrant city center.”

About Don McLean:
A New York native, Don McLean is one of the most revered and respected songwriters in American history. After paying his dues in the New York club scene in the late ‘60s, he went on to score mega-hits like “American Pie,” “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air” and many more. In 2004, McLean was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by country superstar Garth Brooks. In 2000, “American Pie” was named one of the Top 5 Songs of the 20th Century by the RIAA and in 2002 was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame. In 2015, one of McLean’s four handwritten manuscripts of the lyrics to “American Pie” was auctioned by Christies, selling for just over $1.2 Million. 2017 brought a huge honor when his iconic song was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, joining less than 500 works including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” With over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, McLean’s prowess for writing timeless songs was again captured on his 2018 album, Botanical Gardens, as he artfully weaves country, Americana, folk, and boot stomping rock for an eclectic, yet American sound that he is known for.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Over a three-day period, country music history was made as Don Williams: Music & Memories of The Gentle Giant premiered at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center with the Nashville Symphony, original members of Don’s band and never before seen video footage of Don Williams live in concert from around the world.

As the show opened, those in attendance gazed at the 25-foot wide video screen, which flashed album covers, photos and footage highlighting Don’s nearly 50-year career in country music all while the Nashville Symphony performed a specially crafted overture. Keith Urban, who made a surprise appearance on Saturday night to watch the show he curated, popped up on the video screen to explain the concept of the show and to set the tone of the evening on what people would be witnessing. Then the night came to life!

Members of Don’s touring band, 5 in total, along with the Nashville Symphony kicked off a night of music that included twenty-five of Don’s most recognizable songs. From “Good Ole Boys,” to “Some Broken Hearts (Never Mend),” to “Tulsa Time,” to “I Believe In You,” all songs showcased just how powerful Don’s baritone voice, laid back personality and delivery of songs inspired and affected people of all backgrounds while proving that music has no boundaries. The video footage, which came from Africa, Ireland, and Branson, spanned from the 1980’s to 2014 and highlighted Don’s massive international appeal.

Thursday night featured special guests Trace Adkins and Tracy Lawrence, Friday night featured Victoria Shaw, and Saturday night featured Eric Paslay. Sara Evans fell ill and was unable to attend, although previously announced.

“When first hearing the concept of this show, it was hard to comprehend bringing a show together with the original band, a full symphony and Don Williams on a big screen and it actually working,” says Adam Marshall, a fan who attended all three nights. “I just didn’t understand it, but as a Don Williams fan I wanted to see it. After the first night I bought tickets for the next two shows. When I closed my eyes, I truly believed Don was sitting on his stool and singing to me live on stage. A few times during the show it was very chilling and surreal, especially towards the end when Don interacts with the audience as if he was really there performing and the audience was singing back to him.”

Much like the touring shows that involve Elvis, Roy Orbison and others, Don Williams will hit the road in 2020 breaking boundaries and making the Country Music Hall of Famer the first country artist to tour post-death.

About Don Williams:
Williams first came to prominence in the 1960s as a member of the folk group The Pozo-Seco Singers. The trio recorded several hit records, with the biggest being “Time.” By 1971, Williams had gone solo, and had signed a publishing deal with Jack Clement. The Hall of Fame producer was so taken with Don’s style that he offered him a recording contract with his JMI Records in 1972. Early hits included “Atta Way To Go” and “Come Early Morning,” as well as “We Should Be Together,” which became his first Billboard top ten hit from 1974. He then moved to ABC / Dot (Later MCA), where the hits increased. Tracks such as “Rake and Ramblin’ Man,” “Tulsa Time,” and “Nobody But You” helped to make him one of the most-played artists on Country Radio in the 1970s and 1980s. He took home the Male Vocalist of the Year trophy from the Country Music Association in 1978, and notched his biggest hit in 1981 with “I Believe In You,” which also crossed over to the top-30 on the Hot 100.

Subsequent moves to Capitol Nashville and RCA kept Williams on the charts into the 1990s, as he continued to play for huge crowds on the road. His success in the United States is well-documented, but the music of Don Williams has made him an international star – with followings in such places as Africa, England and New Zealand. He has placed 52 singles in the top-40 on the Country charts in the United States, with 17 going all the way to the top spot. Williams was a member of The Country Music Hall of Fame and The Grand Ole Opry. Williams appeared in the films W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings and Smokey & The Bandit II with Burt Reynolds.

AGENCIES ANNOUNCE DOLLAR THRESHOLDS IN REGULATIONS Z AND M FOR EXEMPT CONSUMER CREDIT AND LEASE TRANSACTIONS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
October 31, 2019

MEDIA CONTACT:
Office of Communications

AGENCIES ANNOUNCE DOLLAR THRESHOLDS IN REGULATIONS Z AND M FOR EXEMPT CONSUMER CREDIT AND LEASE TRANSACTIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Reserve Board today announced the dollar thresholds in Regulation Z (Truth in Lending) and Regulation M (Consumer Leasing) that will apply for determining exempt consumer credit and lease transactions in 2020. These thresholds are set pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) amendments to the Truth in Lending Act and the Consumer Leasing Act that require adjusting these thresholds annually based on the annual percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W). If there is no annual percentage increase in the CPI-W, the Federal Reserve Board and the Bureau will not adjust this exemption threshold from the prior year. However, in years following a year in which the exemption threshold was not adjusted, the threshold is calculated by applying the annual percentage change in CPI-W to the dollar amount that would have resulted, after rounding, if the decreases and any subsequent increases in the CPI-W had been taken into account. Transactions at or below the thresholds are subject to the protections of the regulations.

Based on the annual percentage increase in the CPI-W as of June 1, 2019, the protections of the Truth in Lending Act and the Consumer Leasing Act generally will apply to consumer credit transactions and consumer leases of $58,300 or less in 2020. However, private education loans and loans secured by real property (such as mortgages) are subject to the Truth in Lending Act regardless of the amount of the loan.

Although the Dodd-Frank Act generally transferred rulemaking authority under the Truth in Lending Act and the Consumer Leasing Act to the Bureau, the Federal Reserve Board retains authority to issue rules for certain motor vehicle dealers. Therefore, the agencies are issuing these notices jointly.

The Regulation M notice is available in the Federal Register here: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/10/30/2019-21554/consumer-leasing-regulation-m.

The Regulation Z notice is available in the Federal Register here: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/10/30/2019-21557/truth-in-lending-regulation-z.

CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU RELEASES REPORT ON THIRD-PARTY DEBT COLLECTIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Bureau) released a report today that found that more than one-in-four consumers with a credit report have at least one debt in collection by third-party debt collectors.

Today’s report, which covers 2004 to 2018, is drawn from the Bureau’s Consumer Credit Panel (CCP), a nationally representative sample of approximately 5 million de-identified credit records maintained by one of the three nationwide credit reporting companies. Close to 900 third-party debt collectors furnished collection tradelines in the CCP. A tradeline is information about a consumer account that is sent, generally on a regular basis, to a credit reporting company. Tradelines contain data such as account balance, payment history, and status of the account.

Today’s findings show that more than one-in-four consumers (28 percent) with a credit report in the CCP in 2018 had at least one third-party collections tradeline on their file. The study also found that more than three-out-of-four third-party collections tradelines are for non-financial debt. More than half (58 percent) of these tradelines are for medical debt and another 20 percent for telecommunications or utilities debt. Positive payment information is generally not furnished for medical or telecommunications debt.

Banks and other original creditors may collect their own debts or hire third-party debt collectors. In some instances, the original creditors may sell the debts to debt buyers. The buyers may try to collect on these debts, or hire other third-party debt collectors. There are approximately 9,330 debt collectors and debt buyers in the United States.

“Market Snapshot: Third-Party Debt Collections Tradeline Reporting” can be found at: https://content.consumerfinance.gov/data-research/research-reports/market-snapshot-third-party-debt-collections-tradeline-reporting/
